Howard Caygill est Professeur de Philosophie moderne européenne au Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy (CRMEP) de l’Université Kingston. Il a étudié aux Universités de Brissol, Sussex et Oxford et a enseigné à l’Université d’East Anglia et au Goldsmiths College de l’Université de Londres.
Il est l’auteur d’ouvrages sur Kant, et d’esthétique et sur la philosophie politique au XXe siècle.
