Projet en cours : Le sexe de l’histoire naturelle. S’appuyant à la fois sur Locke et sur Kant, et plus particulièrement sur la distinction de Kant entre description de la nature et histoire naturelle (compte tenu du rôle des principes téléologiques dans ce dernier), ce projet propose une investigation philosophique des bases intellectuelles de la pratique historique de la classification en histoire naturelle et la place fondamentale de la classification du sexe en son sein.?

 ?Research Interests : Philosophy of sex and gender ; philosophy and feminist theory ; philosophy and psychoanalytic theory ; philosophies of natural history (especially in relation to Kant) ; Kant ; Simone de Beauvoir ; Plato and the reception of Plato in modern European philosophy.??

Current Project:The Sex of Natural History. Drawing on both Locke and Kant, and specifically Kant’s distinction between description of nature and natural history (given the role of teleological principles in the latter) this project proposes a philosophical investigation of the intellectual bases of the historical practice of classification in natural history and the foundational place of sex classification within it.?? ??
